My co-presenters and I designed and presented a program for the kids at two Red Balloon locations, a preschool and child care center. It was a fun challenge to consider what scientific concepts we could successfully introduce to very young children. Ultimately, we showed them an insect collection, talked about insect body parts, let them (carefully) pet some cockroaches, and then had them design their own bugs with Play-Doh.
